Maternity shots were like any other photoshoots that required photographers to discover the special essence owned by every muse behind their lens, their works should be able to translate not just about the joy a couple has felt throughout their journey of the wife’s pregnancy, but they should also be able to tell the unseen efforts couples have gone through to be a better soul to their child. I learnt that pregnancy had given women an extraordinary experience and a test to self-love, and what would be the outcome was a grown individual who was ready to give her all to the little one inside her. At the end of the day, woman like Renata might needed some fancy photoshoot that she could have a throwback to before motherhood entered her life, the kind of throwback that reminded her some beautiful moments she could have in between of days during pregnancy.
Photoshoot with Renata & William was never close to awkward considering their relaxing personality has always been on-point throughout the session. With projects similar to this done at some point of my life, I always ensured what I shot could reflect what my vision captured in real life: the excitement and nervousness shown in Renata’s expression to welcome their baby boy, William’s unwavering support for his glowing wife, not to mention the abundant of happiness they were holding inside, ready to be poured into the life of their firstborn. Aside from the tiny bits of worrisome feeling we all had since Renata’s pregnancy could due anytime in that week, everything during the photoshoot went as smooth as how the others always were, and I finally got their great moments I was aiming for in my frames. Alas, Renata’s maternity photoshoot was wrapped up with smiling faces of the soon-to-be parent and a pleased photographer who finally called it as a day.
